I believe that no matter your background, ethnicity, gender or ability you deserve equal treatment in whatever you do. I also know, as there is solid evidence, that diversity is good for business, society and ultimately the world. That's why I campaign and seek to influence consistently for a diverse society built on equality.
Be the change you want to see is a mantra to live by. So what have I done to deliver on that?
The SOwhite Initiative
Co-founded #ChristmasSOwhite bringing attention to the lack of diverse imagery in communications and at the same time creating new imagery for everyone to use. You can read about the SOwhite initiative here.
The Great British Diversity Experiment
Co-founded The Great British Diversity Experiment a social experiment which proves once and for all that diversity leads to better creative solutions and therefore competitive advantage. You can get a useful summary of The Experiment here. The results of this experiment make for inspiring workshop series and if you're interested in Hacking Diversity please get in touch.
Co-founded Millennial Mentoring and created a scheme for young talent from diverse backgrounds to reverse mentor brands at the same time as get valuable work experience. This isn't CSR, without young talent businesses won't survive. You can read about it in my piece The future? Young talent .
This is just the beginning and I will continue to campaign and influence for diversity and equality.
